IMPORTANT: This call is restricted to CY Initiative institutions (CY Cergy Paris University & ESSEC) and the MR SHS laboratories.

As part of the CY Initiative (CYI), the Maison de la Recherche en Sciences Humaines et Sociales (MR SHS) call for proposals is launched in favour of the development of research and its internationalization. CYI is supported by 2 institutions: CY Cergy Paris University & ESSEC. 

Aim    

The aim of this call for proposals is to support multidisciplinary projects from the MR SHS scientific community that contribute to the development of scientific excellence. The scientific quality of the projects, their contribution to visibility, attractiveness and the dynamics of excellence will be decisive. 

Projects targeted include the emergence of original research projects, both at the level of individual researchers and research groups, that seek to explore new research directions or to consolidate existing research expertise, and the strengthening of doctoral and post-doctoral training. The projects supported will contribute to the development of international scientific collaborations. 

Projects supported under this funding scheme are expected to demonstrate their ability to attract external funding for research activities (national or international funding agencies) in order to sustain their scientific aims beyond the support received from the present call. 

Areas of research     

The present call for proposals welcomes both fundamental and applied research projects only in the priority research thematics of CY Initiative:

• Health and well-being

• Digital transition

• Societal and envrionmental changes

Projects should also fit within the MR SHS’s research programme:

• Area 1: Knowledge and societies

• Area 2: Cultural objects and imaginaries

• Area 3: Social practices, developments and tensions

Programme  

The HORIZON programme aims to incubate the development of innovative research projects in preparation for external research funding. Its generous funding (up to €200k) for 4 years, allows researchers teams to finance ambitious projects, including the recruitment of doctoral or post-doctoral contract dedicated to the project.
